Founded in 1824, the Vista Alegre Porcelain Factory was the first industrial unit dedicated to producing porcelain in Portugal. A mere five years later, Vista Alegre gained the title of Royal Factory in recognition of its artistry and industrial success. In the late 1980’s, Vista Alegre pieces were displayed in relevant international exhibitions, at locations such as the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Royal Palace of Milan. Their incredible craftmanship is admired by the top-notch designers around the world including Marcel Wander and Christian Lacroix porcelain art pieces and tableware conceived between the collaboration of two.
